Fanatics always tend to be crazy. It is obvious to all that the Oct 7th attack on Israel was a terrible idea.
It is also crazy for Netanyahu to believe that he can exterminate Hamas. The best he can do is to kill the smartest and most dangerous members of Hamas. He might make Hamas somewhat less dangerous, but after the IDF killed 32,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, the hatred of Israelis by Palestinians can only increase.
