and government rules said if we give you a good deal in order to make things more standardized for safety...you must then rape the people?

Good deal ? Please.
Rape ? How does the expense get covered ? Magic ?
The process is far from ideal but the process is 100% dictated by the federal government. Take it up with them.

When POS runs out of facts, he tend to make up fibs and try to present them as facts.

Happens a lot.

I saw no fib or lie or even a fact there. Pocketfullofshells gave his view which was widely divergent from yours. Logically, one of you has a seriously warped perspective.

KV Pharmaceutical is based in Bridgeton, Missouri, and has more debt than cash on its balance sheet. - Forbes
FDA regulations mandate the company spend "hundreds of millions" in an international study to comply with FDA approval.

So pocket, if not price hikes thanks to a government approved monopoly, where exactly was a company with more debt than cash supposed to come up with "hundreds of millions" of dollars?

The people who sat on the government panel and granted a company with more debt than cash a monopoly and expected that same company to raise "hundreds of millions" to comply with FDA regulations, where do you think the bureaucrats on that panel thought the money would come from?

The government you trust to "do whats best for the people" is either complicit in the fleecing of the public or incompetent in their duty. Either way, the public got screwed by its own government, not by capitalism and free markets.

I see no third alternative.

This is another reason why we need a smaller federal government.
