When you say "give the guy a Chance", I certainly hope you are referring to Biden.

A national strike worked in France when the workers who worked for the government did not show up to work (25% of the work force).

Here in the US those who work for the gov are happy with gov (and we have less of them than france). The rest of us need our private jobs and the gov does not care if private workers strike, and if the unemployed strike it makes no difference.

A National Strike means NO MONEY For GOVERNMENT to COLLECT! Remember the Cubans down in Miami call closed their shops all in Miami demand the Mayor do something in protest Elian Gonzalez taken away from his family in Miami. It was the Police chief actions who didnt informed the Mayor what was Clinton & Janet Reno ideas were to snatch elian gonzalez away. Remember this?

As that Result the Mayor fired the Miami Police chief and he Fired the city manager. Cause they both knew what was the feds plan was and failed to notify the Mayor. Thats the Chief of Police and managers job. The Cubans pressured the Mayor to take action ot Miami will get any revinue. You see it does work. If we have a National Strike how will states collect sales taxes if stores are closed? How will states collect sales taxes if resterants are closed? How will states collect sales taxes if gas stations are closed? How will kids go to school if Bus Drivers refuse to drive? How will cities operate if public transportation is shut down? You get my point,, So if Government cant collect the money then Governors and Mayors will pressure members of Congress and senate to impeach Obama cause workers refuse to work. Not only that how will Millionares & Billionares get the money if they cant make profits? You figure it out!

Border staff, teachers join major UK strike

LONDON (AP) — Airline passengers face chaos at immigration halls and school closures may force parents to take children with them to work Wednesday as Britain's biggest strike in decades threatens to wreak havoc.

Labor union leaders have warned that the strike may just be the start of a wave of disruption, with public workers opposing government plans to reform pensions, demands that they work longer before receiving a pension and contribute more money each month.

The unions claim as many as two million border agency workers, teachers, garbage collectors, firefighters and other public sector staff will join the 24-hour strike which begins shortly after midnight, plunging air travel and many basic services into disarray.

Many strikers will also be motivated by Britain's painful austerity measures, which on Tuesday saw the government extend a limit on public sector pay rises through 2014.

Airport operator BAA, which runs London's Heathrow airport, has warned that passengers could face 12-hour delays as immigration staff leave their posts. Education officials say nine out of 10 schools will close.

"For most people, the size of this strike will be unprecedented in their lifetime," said John Kelly, a professor of industrial relations at the Birkbeck University of London.
