Yes joe Biden is always saying this . And he claims republicans are a danger to democracy.

What's odd about this is we are not a democracy, its a federal republic .
Now can any liberal show me where it mentions democracy in the Constuction ?
Biden claims to be educated and smart yet he seems to not know this . And I'm willing to bet most people do not .

There are no checks and balances in a democracy its mob rules.
Slavery was common in democracy's such as one of the first big ones were the Greeks .
In a democacy if the majority want slavery its ok or drugs legal its ok or child molesting legal its ok.

Because democracy is a short way to refer to a general system where people vote for rulers, ad opposed to systems like feudalism or dictatorship

I can believe you are so stupid
Oh wait I can lol

There are so many checks and balances in the US system that the past Congress did almost nothing.

Are there checks and balances in hereditary monarchies? Take Saudi Arabia or Brunei, for example? Well no.
Are there checks and balances in dictatorships like Iran or Myanmar or North Korea, Also, no.

I so hate to quote Churchill, but he said, "Democracy is the worst form of government... except for all the others".

It is then why would people be stupid enough to get them mixed up lug nut .I was explaining that people seem to not know the difference and I have seen a lot of liberals do it including the president. I know the difference as I learned it in high school . You would think people would know the difference its like calling socialism commies while it is close its totally difference .
I guess liberals just do not know the difference these days from what I have seen of Biden and students protesting.

You sure got butt hurt over it for some reason. A federal Republic is much better especially in a large nation we need checks and balances. If you let those who happen to outnumber others cold create slavery rape or ban religion, ex with kids and do much more where with a federal republic based on a such as our bill of rights and our Constuction prevent. While for a small group of people say tribal democracy works better. Lots of people do not grasp that like you who I am sure hates a federal republic .

they aren't being "mixed up", *****. its a short hand term for a variety of specific forms of government based on the concept of popular voting. duh.

no one is suggesting we go to a literal pure democracy where literally every decision is made by a popular vote. duh.

our system, which is a constitutional federal republic (you got that wrong too, you forgot the word constitution if you want to argue semantics, duh) is different than a parlimentarian form of government, for example, but all are types of democracy, again, as opposed to kings and dictators. duh.

its stupid to suggest that people always write "constitutional federal republic" instead of the shorthand democracy when you are discussing the concept of people voting for rulers. duh. "we are concerned about democracy in the US" makes sense to anyone with an IQ over 50 (which excludes you), there is no need to write "we are concerned about constitutional federal republic in the us", because the concern is with the concept of voting by people, not the specific form of a democratic government.

i know this is probably too many words for you to understand, but maybe if you read it several times, slowly, you might get some of it. lol

what you seem to not understand is that people use the word "democracy" all the time instead of "federal constitutional republic".

Hell, I imagine that even Myanmar or North Korea could be called a "Federal Constitutional Republic"
