Which is why I like these forums: You can talk religion and politics with people who disagree with your POV, and if they get red in the face and start to cry, you don't have to see it.

For some reason, there are people who are so sure that they are right and everyone who disagrees with them are wrong that they can't have a rational discussion of either politics or religion.

Hey...where do all the lefties go here at the HOP? It seems they always quit. Pockets is the sole exception and THC too, but he is a mod....so he does not count.

I have found that many libs are not capable of reasonable civilized political debate. They usually resort to screaming hysterically and personal attacks. Just as they do on college campuses and elsewhere, where they disrupt conservative speakers by acting like fools. Conservatives do not try to silence libs. But, libs sure do all they can to silence conservatives.

My wife's closest friend is a commie lib. She stayed with us this past weekend. She disagreed with me that the rich pay most of the income tax and that Bush's wars are not soley responsible for the huge government debt. She actually believes Bush went to war in Iraq for oil. How can you debate someone who is uninformed? She even asked where did I get such information and further stated her information is different. When I showed her the tax rates FROM THE IRS, she still refused to believe it. CRAZY!!!

My sister is far left but it’s really sad because she isn't very informed about almost anything political.



She just goes with whatever Bill Maher says and the Daily show.



She has silly ideas like it’s the Israeli people who are doing the suicide bombing and we went to Iraq days after 911 not Afghanistan. Even when the anniversary of the Iraq war came and it was nowhere near September 2001 she refused to believe me DOH!!!

I don’t think it’s a big deal for people to wonder about him being a Muslim when he himself referred to his own Muslim faith. But also who cares what his faith is? He sucks as a president no matter what his faith is.



I don’t think obama is a Christian biased on what he defines as Christian. Collective salvation is against the core of Christianity and obama subscribes to that belief.



I am not sure Romney can fit in the Christian box either. And if you define Christian as Trinitarian he sure can’t.

Maybe Pockets and TCH can shred some light on this, since they are libs...

There is a theory about the mindset of libs. It is that many libs believe they have been mistreated by "the man," society, capitalism....whatever....they go through life feeling mistreated and unappreciated. And as such, they FEEL they are owed something by society or the country. This psychosis causes them to demand that others provide for them via big government and they easily conclude that socialism is the answer.

the Mitt issue is is Mormonism part of the Christian faith or not...you dont have people questioning if he is Mormon though,.

He was born a muslim by their law and chose to be apostate. Thats the fact.
