What's wrong with McCain?

McCain was at his wife's alma mater today receiving an endorsement from Daddy Yankee (check out the link to find out who that is)). Anyway, McCain's campaign told the press corps that today's event was going to be a "press conference," it turns out that the only members of the media who might have had the opportunity to ask McCain questions were reporters from the school's newspaper.

Here's the kicker, McCain has not spoken to the press since Aug. 13 in Birmingham, MI... the same day his wife supposedly sprained her wrist at a fundraiser.

The question is why? Is it something to do with his wife's injury that he doesn't want to be asked about? After all, his lack of respect for women combined with his legendary temper are a potent combination. Or are his handlers just keeping him away from the press because of his penchant for revealing the obvious age induced damage to his mind? Or is it something we don't know about? Whatever, it is rather unusual for a presidential candidate to go almost two weeks without speaking to the press.

Candidates always lay low during the other persons convention. Obama went on vacation to Hawaii, why can't McCain take a break?

Perhaps, but McCain's temper is well documented as his disrespectful treatment of Cindy, at least verbally. You know what they say...if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....
