Soon after news of the NSA's data mining and Prism programs hit the news, we learned that there are Democrats with an uncanny ability to be malleable, apathetic and partisan in the face of an intrusive state. In January 2006, when George W. Bush was president, Pew Research Center asked Democrats how they felt about the NSA's surveillance programs.

Thirty-seven percent labeled the spying "acceptable," and 61 percent said they were unacceptable. The reverse is true today, as 64 percent of Democrats believe that Barack Obama's surveillance programs are acceptable and 34 percent say they're not.
what no one asks of this traitor...is...is what he says even accurate? Anyone realy think he can bug the president as a contractor on the job for 3 months like he claims? The dude thinks very high of himself, and is just making shit up...sure there is facts in but thats how you best tell a lie. He probably believes his own crap though. Claims the program is against the 4th....when the courts already said it does not...but you know with his no legal training...we should just go with him. BUt then again that is the new right wing idea...what ever you think is law...is law...regardless of what courts say. and the world must go by what you think. ( most likey why you guys keep passing laws that are then shot down by the courts...all while screaming about the constitution when you don't agree with the law.

And if you take out the NSA spying program that took records of phone numbers and duration ( not actually listing to your calls) ...he is also talking about things that are US intel on outside the US on non americans...aka why we have a fucking NSA...and the right will just cheer him on. If he was under Bush you guys would have called for his head of course.

We could see this as an instance of mass hypocrisy if we assumed that the response is driven by a concern for the snooping itself rather than the administration in charge of the snooping. But it's likelier that folks on the left tend to be idealistic about presidents and less concerned about inquisitive NSA agents.

lol. There is no question that he violated the law and violated the oath he took by releasing these documents. He absolutely should be tried.

So what...big deal.

The Federal government voilates the law and politicians violate their oath ALL the time...and nothing happens.

My friend go back and read some liberal post from when Bush was President on this and much, much less important issues...
ok, and would any of that change a damn thing? nope. Just like the fact that republicans had no issue when Bush was doing the same program with less checks...but as soon as the black guy is doing it the world is ending. Then again Republicans also supported leaking info on undercover CIA Ops because it was political revenge for pointing out republicans where lying to go to war...Not that most republicans ever cared about that as well.

Not only that looks like he had no intent to even do his job...he just wanted to gain access to leak the info. Also he is leaking info that he can't even try to claim was done in the interest of the US, as its about spying on other nations.Odd given his claims that he did so as a whistleblower when he was just doing his job and had a change of heart over something that happened.....yet then says he intended it from the start....while claiming that he can bug hte president as a contractor with 3 months on the job...Not only is he leaking National security info ( and possibly trading it to China and Russia and others)

Even if someone wanted to claim civil disobedience...That requires actuly growing a pair and going to court and standing up for your idea...not hidding in nations that are 100000 times worse then anything this nation could ever do as far as spying on its people.

I notice you did not post the Republican numbers....
also if you had any idea about good polling vs push polling you would know that Spying is a general term...and implies the worst...while the facts about the actual program is not anything like what most people invasion.

The American bullyboys are making themselves generally loathed again, howling down your admirable people. Release Bradley Manning, by the way!

If he never sets foot outside a jail cell...I am not going to be to hurt. National security is not leak what ever you want so long as you think its ok...don't worry about hte laws or national security.

Then should BO and his minions also be imprisoned...since afterall, they leak classified information too?

Why the double standard?:sneaky:
