Well, that may be where you want it to end, however, in the real world that is an impossible goal when the districts are set to insure the election/re-election, of the Republican, or the Republican incumbent.
Try reality for a change. You might like it.
You do realize (actually you likely do not) that Democrats controlled the US House for a stretch of 40 years straight before Republicans took control for a 12 year stretch in 1995. Democrats then regained control for a four year stretch before Republicans retook control in 2011.
In other words over the last 62 years, Democrats controlled the House for 44 of those years while Republicans have been in control for 18 years.
You also discount entirely that control of the House is in play going into the mid terms this year.
As I said before, "gerrymandering" is the issue du jour for the party currently out of power. If you want to change the dynamic go win some elections.
