The upcoming indictment of Trump is not a political witch hunt. He has been proven to have committed felons regarding the use of campaign funds and lying about property values to avoid taxes.
Then there's the stolen classified documents he had no authority to take. That will be a further indictment.
He attempted to alter the election result in Georgia and that is serious big time. It undermines the whole democratic process but that wasn't enough.
He proceeded to arrange the non certification of his defeat through his VP. Another serious crime.
Then came the j6 coup attempt which if had been successfully would have left America in the hands of a phsycotic narcissist, Exactly what the republican party have railed against since it was founded.
He was the first POTUS to bring democracy to its knees through hate and racism and refusing to admit defeat. You people do not know how close that was.
These charges will likely be held separately with the ploy to exhaust his finances fighting them. He won't defeat one of them. The DA don't go this far if they haven't got facts.
His proposed return to the presidency is not based in reviving the country, stopping the steal, draining the swamp or taking the country back. That's pure piffle and propaganda but sadly it's music to the ears of hate filled republicans searching for a leader. In fact, the same when idiots decided to follow a god to lead them.
It's highly unlikely he'll go to jail but the image it projects worldwide is so embarrassing for the country. We endured 4 years of the worst POTUS in history, 2 impeachments, criminal activities aplenty, stealing docos and an attempting coup yet he wants to lead the country again as if that isn't enough. If he had a sliver of decency he would retreat and let the country heal.
But we know he won't. It's revenge he wants. It's another opportunity to punish those before him. To cancel all the good policies in place and to wield the big stick again.
Imagine the bitter wrath he would deal out to NY after this. How would that governor of Georgia be treated for refusing him illegal votes? When you examine the vitriol he dispensed on the NY DA, imagine the spray of verbal diarohrea Cohen will receive for testifying against him.
I know Americans lack intelligence in general but if their patriotism is real, the time has come to cut him lose. The division of the country orchestrated by Trump will never be repaired by him. The cure for bad democracy is more democracy.
There must be something in the constitution to stop him doing it again.
