Sexual Violence on the Rise in US Prisons

"According to the report, 6,528 cases of sexual violence were reported in 2006 (and those are just the reported cases), which is a 21 percent jump from 2004, the year such data started being officially collected. In more than half the cases, prison guards were the perpetrators."

Our tax money going to pay government employees to commit more crimes.

And we thought it was the prisoners who made the most "girlfriends."

I don't think there's a really coherent stance on anything in libertarianism, but the mainstream position is to contract the prison system out to private entrepeneurs.

The story implied that sexual violence and rape are the same thing. But in politics I have learned to be wary. Does anyone have a definition that the prison system uses to define sexual violence? If the guard calls a guy a sissy is that sexual violence?
