Simply put, this federal statute deals with the unauthorized removal of classified documents. It's a crime for any officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States government to possess classified documents and remove them without proper authorization knowingly.

Further, if someone is found guilty of violating this statute, they must also have intended to retain the documents at an unauthorized location.

Of course. When a Democrat commits a crime, it is just an honest mistake but when a Republican violates the law the wrath of the weaponized Democrat justice system is unleashed on his head. Take Manafort's violation of the FARA act, for example. He was arrested by a platoon of swat officers in full battle gear in the middle of the night with weapons drawn and CNN cameras rolling while his equally guilty business partner who was a close Clinton friend was never charged. Furthermore, Hunter Biden has been violating FARA for at least 9 years and he has never been charged.

Of course. Comey admitted Hillary had violated multiple federal laws but since, in his opinion, she did not mean to then he took it illegally upon himself to simply forgive her of her sins and close down all investigations into the matter.

I get it. Democrat justice officials forgive Democrats of every big or little violation of the law, including open insurrections, lootings, burnings, assaults, and other violence in the name of racial justice while nailing republicans for every tiny infraction no matter how twisted an interpretation of the law must be to indict them.
