"We recovered a valve from an oxygen cylinder," Neville Blyth, a senior investigator with the Australian Transport and Safety Bureau, told a news conference yesterday. "It is likely that that valve is from the missing cylinder."
CASA said metal fatigue, a failure of the regulator valve on the cylinder, something hitting and puncturing it, or the cylinder becoming too hot, were possible causes of such a cylinder exploding.
Passengers were last night getting back their luggage. It had remained in Manila so inspectors could ensure the blast was not caused by the contents of suitcases and bags.
Passengers have been warned that some luggage has been damaged by debris from the exploding tank.

Whether or not they have found a valve is questionable now Rob. If they did then there would be little doubt that it would have been the cause. I quite expected that they would produce info to show it was a gas cylinder because they had already introduced that story.
But then knowing that you people would rather accept conspiracy theories such as the Martians being responsible for the WTC attacks, it's not puzzling at all that you wouldn't want to accept possibilities.
Actually more obvious when you refuse to accept possibilities that it shows your personal agenda is most important to you.
My agenda on this right from the start was in the interest of stimulating a conversation on the topic. If we hear no more I won't be disappointed in the least.
