Epipens are medication that prevents people from dying from anaphylactic reaction.

I need them if I'm stung by a bee. I'm dead in less than 10 minutes without an epipen. Same with penicillin or any mold that has the same components as penicillin.

Epipens were developed in the 60s. Nearly 60 years ago. It costs 16 dollars to make one.

Yet one epipen can cost between 100 and 300 dollars each. Depending on the insurance a person has or if they have insurance..

They are sold in a 2 pack so just one prescription for epipens can cost between 200 and 600 dollars a pop. Depending on the insurance a person has or if they have insurance. I just refilled my prescription last month. It cost me 217.00.

I have to buy them because if I need one and don't have one, I die.

It's not fair to soak people like me for life saving medication that only costs 16 dollars to make. America is the only developed nation that allows people to be soaked that way for life saving medication.

Don't even get me started on how much the chemo was that I had to be on to not die from cancer. I had insurance and without it I would not have been able to afford the chemo and I would have died.
