I was referencing the fact that most of the GITMO detainees have strong religious beliefs that include the extermination of anyone that holds their hand over their heart when hearing the "Star Spangled Banner" (their not to fond of the Israelis either). Nothing short of deprogramming or brainwashing would change their point of view on this. By the way, I believe they have the right to their point of view, but not the implementation it.
Oh, exactly, quite right.
I'm in my mid fifties and just in the last 7 years have I been able to understand having a Jihad sworn against me & my country...just because of where I live; not about my beliefs, not about my ability to personally 'p!ss someone off, not because I've verbally threatened anyone foreign person/place/thing...the Taliban {terrorist} blankly wants all of us DEAD & GONE...now that gives one pause for thought.
Not that I could currently afford to travel to another foreign country...but if I could I doubt that I would do so now!
