Teachers do this same thing. When a student comes into the class, during the first progress reports they always score them low, lower than they really are... by the end of the year they are always doing so well. They score them higher than they really are. In the eyes of the teacher, the high year end score reflects on how well the teacher did.


Right now everything sucks America has fallen, only Obama can make the world respet us again, Only Obama can make the mythical jobs that we are lacking.

by the end of the first administration Obama will tell you things are actually better than they are and compare that to how badly things were made to be before he was elected, and that will be his reason we should vote for him again.

I think the actual person who steps to the podium and says, "I [so-and-so] nominate [so-and-so] for the democratic nominee has to be a democrat. Or at least they should be? But then again I can see why a republican would nominate Obama of the two..

And I'm pretty darn sure that that particular position is of import and isn't open-ended as random selection of delegates.

I'd like to see the language of the DNC rules regarding such instead of each of us guessing this way or that..

Just something I noticed at the dem convention yesterday...

A little footnote, hardly worth mentioning maybe. Noobamanation, maybe you could point me in the right direction here. Just before the roll-call vote, both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama had people stand up to officially nominate them for the vote.

I forget who stood up to name Hillary Clinton as nominee. I clearly remember who stood up for Obama.. A republican. A registered lifelong republican (he emphasized that twice).

Now this may be a little of nothing, but unless I miss my guess about official DNC codebook rules, a democratic nominee must be nominated by a member of the democratic party?

It would seem to make sense. Otherwise, Al Gore could stand up at next week's convention and legitimately nominate John McCain.. right?

Well, since no one blinked an eye, I'll assume that the nomination was legal within DNC rules. It really wouldn't surprise me if the DNC had a clause where republicans could manipulate their process though. The democrats are very very poor on keeping their house clean.

Actually it was George H. W. Bush that coined the praise Voodoo Economics in response to Ronald Reagan's "trickle down" economic plan.

And if Clinton's surplus was all one big accounting trick. Maybe you could do some masterful magician work yourself and just make this Republican highest debt of all time, highest inflation rate in 27 years........ just disappear.
