The first approach taken was the slogan : "a land without people for a people without land".

A similar approach was undertaken by british colonial settlers who designated australia terra nullius

The Arabs lost and Israel became the officially recognized owners of the land of israel given them by God and by Britain. The Arabs driven out of Israel moved into Gaza which was under Egyptian control after the 1948 war.
