Now that President-elect Donald Trump is planning to remove the electric car "mandate" and end the $7,500 tax credit for EV buyers, the California governor has plans to offer his own version of the credit.

The move would leave market-leading Tesla out of a key incentive program aimed at spurring wider adoption of EVs at a time of slowing growth for all-electric vehicles.

Buy an EV in California and get your money — unless you're buying a Tesla.

Penalize the only U.S. car company building electric cars in California? Makes perfect sense — if you're one of those people who dress like Spider-Man and hang out on Hollywood Boulevard.

Well, I suppose there is some method to Newsom's madness. He could be eyeing a presidential run in 2028. And what better way to attack Trump than to go after his high-profile supporter, Elon Musk?

The Dark Ages were accompanied by darkness (obviously), cold, poverty, starvation, plague and depredation. The world became smaller and feudal. Infrastructure collapsed. Everyone suffered, but especially the poor. It’s pretty much what the Democrats are doing to America today.

Let’s start with the “Dark New Deal.” The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), which is overseen by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), made clear a few days ago that Americans should prepare for unprecedented electric power failures and blackouts this year. A supposed 21st century, “advanced” country that cannot support the predictable energy needs of its nation? Now that is primitive and a colossal failure of government.

The problem is obvious to everyone except the White House and Democratic state governments. Energy policies that precipitously shut down traditional energy sources and rush toward unreliable, unsupported “new” energy sources wreck our economy and society. Suddenly there were blackouts throughout California and the state was forced to import energy from neighboring states because of what the governor called “unreliable solar and wind power.” Yet the state continues to shut down nuclear and fossil fuel plants and rush toward “renewables.”
At the same time, Sacramento pushes one of the most resource-rich and car-dependent states in the country to $7-a-gallon gasoline. The objective, of course, is to force people to stop using fossil fuel-powered cars and buy very expensive electric cars, or just walk or ride bikes, or not travel. The related objective, of course, is to force people to use electric power at home or simply to have hotter homes in the summer and colder homes in the winter. Variations of these plans are copied throughout the country.

The problem is that these plans will never get America to a “net-zero emissions economy” — unless progressives really intend a “net-zero economy,” i.e., complete economic collapse.

Continued dependence on petroleum will render this planet harder to survive in. And we are also using petroleum to manufacture huge amounts of plastics that we cannot reprocess or recycle. The current economy is not sustainable. Cars replaced horses because cars only required fuel when they were used, and horses had to be constantly fed and of course, cars do not crap constantly. Replacing petroleum technology with sustainable energy is as necessary now as replacing horses, mules and oxen with cars and trucks in the early 1900's.

You want Shitshizpants to poison the air and bury us all in tons of throwaway plastic.

Businesses are considered unsuccessful if they do not grow constantly. This requires for the population to grow constantly. However this is undeniably impossible as many raw materials are not sustainable, and there are nor sufficient means to feed a constantly growing population. Presently developed nations have ceased to grow their populations. The US population also is growing only because of immigration from poorer countries.

Newsome and I are smart. You and Shitzhizpants are both ignorant of the facts and too stupid to deal with them.
