One common flaw in the democrat masses is their lack of familiarity with the US Constitution. Democrats like Schift dismissed court rulings and constitutional due process protections in their sham railroaded Trump impeachment, and rubes praised their unjust 'achievement' as if it ranked alongside praiseworthy victories like winning WW2. Democrats crap all over the Constitution because they are either ignorant or are enemies of America, or both.

Regardless, O’Sullivan sat down for an interview with author Anne Applebaum and asked, “Is America a democracy?”

Applebaum claimed, “America is a democracy. It was founded as a democracy.” [....]

Nevertheless, O’Sullivan lamented, “I've heard a lot of conspiracy theories -- I hear a lot of things out on the road. But to hear Americans -- people who would describe themselves as patriots -- say that America is not a democracy -- that stopped me in my tracks.”

Seeing a grand conspiracy at work, Applebaum replied, “You are hearing people say America is not a democracy because there are people around Trump who want them to be saying that. Who have been planting that narrative.”

The Constitution:

Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

The word Democrat means democracy. That party did not introduced democracy, it followed the constitution.

Why are democrats enemies of America? That's a blatant lie. What you should say is they are YOUR enemy because you assume they are ungodly and communists. That's shows us just how brain dead you are.

It doesn't surprise me because they do not understand it is both. But the overwhelming problem is brain dead republicans who liken democracy to democrats and relate it to communism. It's a fact. That's how dumb they are.
Another is, the very low percentages of those who have never read the constitution although can quote the second amendment.

Trump coined no phrases. Republic only means that that the country has no hereditary monarch.
When people say "this is a Republic, not a democracy", they mean they want Jim Crow to return. Trumpism is a defective cult. Trump deserves to be in prison.

America was founded as a republic not a democracy because democracy is mob rule and that is not good government any more than lynching a black man because that is what the white democratic mob wants is just.

A republican basically means without a royal family etc.

The Constitution permitted and even promoted slavery. It claimed that slaves should be considered as 3/5th human with regard to representation, even though no slave could vote, and many states required that only men with property could vote.

It was marginally better that the colonial British monarchy. The Constitution does not deserve to be worshiped, it can and should be IMPROVED.

I'm not sure what wording in the Constitution promotes slavery but I am sure that Bible believing, God honoring Christians opposed slavery from the beginning and modern blacks and racists should openly acknowledge that fact when promoting hatred for modern whites for the past sins of early Americans who wwere not in God's will.

Nevertheless, America was established as a republic in order to protect minorities from being mistreated by democrat majority mobs.

Yeah, what minorities? The slaves? The free Black people, who could be captured and enslaved again? Or the members of thousands of civilized Indians in the South who Jackson forced off their lands in the South from NC, SC, GA, AL, TN, MS and drove off to Oklahoma? The Founding fathers did not seem to give a damn about minorities.
Discrimination against the Irish was legal and practiced everywhere.

If you propose hating all Americans today except for blacks because you cannot get over slavery in the past then you have made yourself enemies of Americans who have done nothing wrong as they are falsely accused of doing.

I do not propose hating anyone, just admitting that in the past this was a racist society. We need to understand the past mistakes to avoid making them all over again. Trump feeds off of racism and racists love him for it. Fundies like you want to impose their backward religion on everyone who does not embrace their view that they alone are fit to rule everyone else, because everyone else is "wicked".
