No taxes at all? bye bye infrastructure, hello third world disparity. Unless there is an alternate form of taxation, no won't work. Perhaps if we used the taxes without the ridiculous amount of misappropriation and overspending, then the infrastructure would be in place for higher wages without raising the minimum as well as the ability to reduce the taxation. One thing I really hate, whilst I'm on this soapbox, is the whole idea of a "defecit." I mean I don't get it, it's always "how can we reduce the defecit?" Should it not be asked, "How can we reduce the amount we spend?" It seems this isn't just a government problem but personal problem for many who have been raised in this culture of "It's okay to be in debt." I mean the government does it, why can't we? Maybe the government needs to rethink it's position.

Fair enough. I was going to say that anyone who works for more than a few months typically gets a raise that puts them well above the minimum wage mark.

They killed 10,000 jobs so far some business have closed completely others are going to more autmaation costing jobs . prices are high and that will result in less sales . Great move.
People deserve a wage based on the JOB not what they need or want . if you want to make more money most people seek out more training or skills and education At least that's what I did and eventually ended up with good jobs and ok money. I didn't sit there and whine I need more money pay me 20 bucks a hour to flip burgers and say do you want fries with that and clean.
