Coal served the world just fine for a long time and still will till technology catches up .You dont sell your old used car before you have a replacement
 
The time to stop using coal has passed. The electrical utility companies are abandoning coal because natural gas is cheaper and safer.

Really you dont say. I will agree that coal needs to be cut back but your clueless about it totally the worlds power is 0ver 35 percent produced by coal natural gas is 28 percent so its not as popular as you think..

When will you comprehend you cant just dump it all of a sudden .
Many developing nations will still use it regardless . Technology has not caught up . Such as with the USA we have joe mandating 50 percent of cars be ev yep there is nothing about power stations taxes etc. .
When you have answer let me know . its easy to say this is a good thing and we need to do it making it happen however is another issue . Coal will be around a lot longer then you or me .

Coal is needed to make charcoal briquets and steel. Burning it for fuel pollutes and wrecks the atmosphere.

You may not need coal except for your backyard get-togethers but millions of others around the world need coal for much more serious purposes.

Gabe we all want clean air I grew up on farms and mountains. I understand the impact man has had on the earth and coal use is just a very small part of the issue.
We are deforesting the earth at a rapid rate and using its resources. Water is becoming a big issue in a lot of places.
Im all for not using coal as a energy source but it will still be used regardless to some degree.
But it takes time and money thus when we are in such debt we can do very little. What did Bidens 1.9 trillion climate bill actually achieve and change.
And even if we reduce our carbon emission and use less coal you will find many others mainly China which produces something like 53 percent of its from coal will not African and south America also.
Start thinking instead of wanting

South America has lots of oil and gas in Argentina. Brazil, Guyana, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and Trinidad
