Larger I dont know. Since I consider obama jimmy carter and a half, I cant really say carter was the worst.

I hated Reagan when he was president and I loved Carter when he was president. I was more left wing than you could ever be. I was a 5th grader back then, all I knew was what my teacher fed me, what the news told me and what SNL did skits about. Then when I grew up I actually read what Reagan said and did, not what my teacher said he said or what the news said he did or what SNL thought. Reagans actual deeds and I realized he was not the monster my teacher said he was or that my mother said he was or that SNL said he was or even the talking heads on the news. It took me a bit longer to realize Jimmy Carter didnt like Jews and was a socialist *****.

My fav Reagan thing outside of giving arms to Iran, was how he ran away when they killed our Marines in Beirut. Man he was a tough one, in talk at least....actions not so much. His running away is listed as a key reason that terrorist found they could attack our troops and not fear attack back. I always laugh when repubs try to bring up black hawk down under Clinton, but then gush over Reagan still.

I agree with the beirut thing, dont send them if you are not willing to kill and or die for the mission.

Not sure why he did what he did there, but I agree he should have stayed and faught or not went in at all. But then again we did not know what kind of monsters we were dealing with till it was too late. So Its easy to talk about it now, we both might have made a different call had we been there, then.
