Feminism in the 21st Century

I think that it may be a testament to the success of teh feminist movment that most of you seem to have completely taken for granted the results that have been firmly incorporated into our society.
Things as big as removing limiting quotas for females in major universities.
Things as small as the phone company being required to list the wife as well as the husband in a phone book listing if you want.
Feminism is primarily about acknowledging women as full members of society, culture, politics, and life. That is about choice. The feminist movement made it posible for us all to do many, many things that we've almost forgotten we couldn't do forty years ago.

It comes down to the same principals of every other great movement...
Civil rights, Gay rights, Women's rights, Animal rights... etc. they all want one thing...

Ok, I will give you civil, gay and women's rights but animal rights! Animals don't have rights and the reason being is that they are not human.

It all follows the same principal though, which was the point I was making.
