the Aboriginal boxer was proud of Both his race, These were the original inhabitants of Australia and Australia. We are not just a white nation. Australia is one of the few Majority white nations in Asia. We did discriminate against non white people in the past with a White Australia policy and our treatment of the Aboriginals. I am not proud of this. Now the majority of migrants are Asian and we will soon became a majority Asian nation. However I am proud of the huge range of migrants we have received from England, and all parts of Europe. I am proud of my ancestors but know that times are changing. I think we can be proud and not proud of things done in the past. I notice some people here are proud of the Confederates and you are of Churchill, both in the past.
I am also old enough to remember white Australia. I am proud I campaign against it and other signs of Racialism. Also the aboriginals still have poor health and education. I am proud of trying to improve this

when its all professional athletes sportsmanship is nowhere to be found. $25k cash for gold medals is just chump change compared to the millions Phels and Lochte et. not sure you aussies can compete against that. I doubt Wheeties will pay that much for a guy with an accent.

I never think of Asians--as black. Most Asians appear white--like the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans.
Or Pakastanis--as whites.
When "people of color" stop differentiating themselves from "people of a lighter color" (and vice-versa) progress will erupt.
Racism is, after all, a two-way street.

Cruella, Australia is a continent but with a lower population of 21 Million. There is no way we could defends ourselves from the hundreds of millions of Asians that surround us. We can not even stop illegal migrants coming here by boat from Indonesia. We can not send them back as Indonesia do not want them. Most are from Afghanistan and Sri lanka (Ceylon) . We also have many refugees whom we must accept under UN guidelines.

Asians are either Brown or Yellow but still are of another race with their own culture and religion. I think most Australians accept them, I am married to one.
