LBJ got a lot done. He had a good side business stealing government money through fake agriculture contracts but the problem that developed when investigators began closing in on him was that several Americans had to be murdered to cover up his crime, including JFK.

WISE Americans voted for Hubert Humphrey. But Humphrey did not get the funds he needed to win.
He came to within 1% of winning.

Obviously the 68 election was more complicated than that. You had an independent democrat candidate in Wallace who won 5 states and 13% of the vote. Crime was a major issue in that campaign as well and that helped Nixon.

Nixon had promised, lied that he would get us out of Vietnam in a year and then escalated the war like the neocon he was.

in polite society decent people do not engage in discussing politics, religion, or money. now granted this is a political forum so discussing politics is ok. but please realize that religion and faith are very personal and private. what you do on this forum, is the equivalent of pissing in a community pool of farting in a crowded elevator.

imo people like you are partly responsible for the demise of religion.
