How do you honestly figure she is some sort of threat to liberals? Sarah had a huge part of driving swing voters away from McCain. Sarah is a borderline liberal herself. She cant make all sorts of claims, but her main policy issues since coming into office have been about as socialistic as they come in America. Look no further than AGIA, ACES, and energy rebates to prove that.

Well I can come up with a list of plenty of people I would like to kick off the air. While I have little impact on them actually being on the air, but I can go a long way by not tuning into thier program, and even boycotting thier sponsors.

So your defending Rush, in his comments about Chelsea, because she is in the kitchen of public life. Well so is Bristol Palin. Not only was she paraded around the country during the campaign but has lived a very lucrative public life since then. Bristol is fair game. Willow on the other hand is not.

It is zero secret that Sarah's oldest daughter Bristol gave birth out of wedlock as a teenager. The joke was directed at her. Bristol has long made herself fair game by her own public appearances. Nobody gives a rip when stuff is said about Paris Hilton, or the Olson twins etc.

Sarah, needs to grow up. Bottom line. If she cant handle a joke about her by a late night host, she is going to have a hell of a time dealing with any number of world leaders. Her reaction to this whole mess shows an inability to take the high road.

I did not say you called her a whore, I was "trying" to say you dont seem to think its wrong for letterman to call her one.

If the joke is that Sarah Palins daughter cant get through a baseball game without screwing one of the players it does not take the use of too many brain cells to know that is something whores do. He infered she was a whore by joking she would randomly screw a guy at a baseball game. But then again she was not at the baseball game, the 14 year old daughter who has not been knocked up was at the game.

Why the frak do you care if the family believes in teaching not to have sex? What does it matter to you? You teach your daughters to grab a condom on the way out the door if you think that is best. I do not see why everyone is in constant attack mode because she teaches her children something you dont agree with.

It was Palin's oldest daughter Bristol that's always been in the limelight and that was directly related to her getting knocked up when without being married... I mean that's the whole connection to the Letterman joke... Bristol gets knocked up again this time by a baseball player.

Should the research department caught the fact Bristol wasn't on this trip and just the younger daughter was... sure that would have eliminated all this poor mouthed I'm such a victim routine.

But we really should not tolerate women being called slutty looking just because their politics are not liked, or insinuate her teenage daughter is a loose whore because she had sex with her boyfriend. We should all be able to agree on this stuff.

What I can agree with is that I give comedians a wide berth in doing their jobs. Cracking on situations and people is what comedians do. Some comedians even work very blue (dirty)... this was nothing compared to that.

Because I liked President Clinton I didn't exactly like it when the late night and SNL crowd cracked jokes about him playing him as some sex crazed playboy. But I also wasn't such a stick in the mud that I whined this was an affront to all men. I could see the comedic nature of it even if I liked the person being targeted.

I do believe the bar should go up as the seriousness of the one doing the talking goes up.

I think a comedian should get more lead way than a entertainment political talker like a Limbaugh or Olbermann, and they more than a NEWS anchor, and they more than another politician or political group.

Maybe we can agree on this. It's the best I can do. I truly think the whole big mountain out of a mole hill thing with Letterman is ridiculous.
