DNA evidence has eliminated most of the "wrong" convictions. Since many people have been on death row for 15 years, you might still get one here and there, but that has mostly been eliminated.

I only found this out the other day! Devonport is the largest Royal Navy dockyard in the UK and apparently still has a fully functioning gallows, the reason being that the death penalty for mutiny in the Fleet still has not been taken off Royal Navy (military) Law!

I was nattering over a pint whether or not we could extend its use to civilians as well! I seriously wish we had the death penalty in the UK!
