if theydont do itthemselves, the Indonesians will do it for them. as you point out, muslims have no trouble killing for any reasonorno reason at all. some religionhuh ?

In Fairness not all the would be refugees are Muslim or Poor. Some just want to share in the bounty of Australia, wonderful beaches etc. I taken an American around Australia at the moment. She would love to stay. Even the beaches are empty now

It is a very tricky position. Rudd is trying to remove the issue of boat people from the election by being tougher, But The Opposition leader is even tougher. Both talk about the people who die on the boats as Australia's responsibility. Stopping the boats might stop these deaths bit will do nothing for the refugees. It is a sad situation that been tough on would be refugees fleeing wars and persecution had become a major election issue

saw Rudd worked out something with PNG to take 100% of the boat people. if that works, its brilliant.

Kevin Rudd, Australia PM has announced that no people from the boats coming to Australia will not be allow to live as refugees here. They instead will be settled in New Guinea if they are found to be genuine refugees. The others will either be sent back home or taken to another country, This is design to deter people coming here in boats

The Opposition party has adopted a similar policy. Except it wants them to remain in Naru as well as PNG. It will only grant Temporary Visas and will not give permanent citienship in Australia to boat people. So far neither polcy has stop the boats

The political parties have suggest everything else but torpedos. The Opposition will turn the boat around so may use force.It is strange how History repeats itself. We Europeans arrived in Boats. But they were too large for the Aboriginals to stop
