So... it was a Legal Kingdom with their own sets of 'teachings' until the Promise of (J)esus should arrive. Then there was the 'illegal' or 'wrongful' overthrow which took away their school masters. After that the citizens were now under a 'new' school master system to which they were not trained in.. And besides that, if a 'wrongful' tree was planted, how is any supposed to think that it will bear 'good' fruit?
If the U.S. is having difficulty maintaining their own school 'children' while them being under their School Master keeping, how would they think that any newly arriving 'school children' will do 'better'?
Galatians 3:19-25
"Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. 20Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. 21Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. 22But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster."
Once again, the 'law' mentioned here is the 'nomos' or the Law of the Land, the Government, etc...
Until the seed should come to whom the promise was made.
Is this talking about (J)esus Christ? No...

Revelation 1:8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."
How would it be possible for any person to live a Righteous, upright in The Way life if these 'nomos' were being broken and not respected until the Last Day, or the Day of Christ?

a remnant
Isaiah 1:9 "Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah."
The 'nomos' would have kept lawlessness at bay if they kept to the 'nomos'. But sometimes even Leaders of State leave the 'nomos' of their own land for some idea of world Globalization under broad and basic 'nomos' which would have caused many to fall away on the wayside and not remained on the 'narrow' path.
