Catholics Blast Obama Admin. Decision to Relocate U.S. Embassy to the Holy See as an ‘Unmistakable Slap in the Face’

Risking yet another wedge between the Obama administration and the Catholic Church, the White House is moving to relocate its embassy to the Vatican into a separate government compound for the U.S. Embassy to Italy.

The current freestanding U.S. Embassy to the Holy See facility at the Vatican would be closed, The Washington Times reported.

“It’s not just those who bomb churches and kill Catholics in the Middle East who are our antagonists, but it’s also those who restrict our religious freedoms and want to close down our embassy to the Holy See,” said Raymond Flynn, a former U.S. envoy to the Vatican, in the National Catholic Reporter. “[There's no] diplomatic or political benefit to the United States.”

Valerie Jarrett Targets Hobby Lobby as a ‘Corporate Entity’ Trying to ‘Seize a Controlling Interest’ Over Women’s Health

White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett called out Hobby Lobby and insisted the Obamacare mandate case that will go before the Supreme Court is about whether big corporations can restrict women from having access to birth control.

Senior Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett accused craft store Hobby Lobby’s owners of wanting to “take the option for birth control benefits away from their employees.”

“No corporate entity should be in position to limit women’s legal access to care, or to seize a controlling interest over the health care choices of women,” Jarrett wrote on the White House blog. “To take that type of power away from individuals, and to let the personal beliefs of a woman’s boss dictate her health care choices would constitute a major step backward for women’s health and self-determination.”

Exactly. So, why would they be rebuilding anything other than, perhaps breakwaters and levies to prevent further damage?

Excellent point. My understanding is that what they actually do is connect "individuals" who need buildings rebuilt to loans. This should be done for all without discrimination.

So when a government entity limits a woman's legal access to care. or seizes a controlling interest over the health care choices of woman it takes power away from individuals. When the personal beliefs of a president or any government official dictates the health care choices it constitutes a major step backward for women's health and self determination.

Sanhedrin 58b [In other words, if a non-Jew kills a Jew, the non-Jew can be killed. Punching an Israelite is akin to assaulting God. But killing a non-Jew is NOT like assaulting God. If a goy killed a goy or a Jew he is responsible, but if a Jew killed a goy he is not responsible.

Sanhedrin 57a [Translation: A Jew may rob a Goy, but a Goy may not rob a Jew. If a Goy murders another Goy or a Jew, he should be killed, but a Jew will not be incur the death penalty for killing a non-Jew.] Kill the Goyim by any means possible.

Yalkut 245c Extermination of the Christians is a necessary sacrifice.

Zohar, Shemoth Tob shebbe goyyim harog - Even the best of the Goyim (Gentiles) should be killed.

Officer to US troops: Don't say 'Christmas'

Don’t say Christmas.

That’s the message that was conveyed to a group of soldiers at Camp Shelby by an equal opportunity officer from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute, according to a soldier who attended a recent briefing.

From your link:

So what does the Army have to say about the DEOMI officer’s edict?

“There is no policy at the 158th Infantry Brigade, First Army Division East or First Army that forbids using the word ‘Christmas’,” Public Affairs Chief Amanda Glenn told me.

Yes ...

I read the article. Did you have a comment about it?
It' not obvious from the quote?

OK, the opinion expressed is not a reflection of any policy of the Army or the commanders of the brigade. Of course, that one person has a right to his opinion, but that's all it is: One man's opinion.

If you are referring to the equal opportunity representative, this person is identified as a woman in the article.

And, obviously it is more than just and "opinion" when the officer from the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute is telling all the soldiers attending the meeting that they cannot use the word Christmas.

If this was something that was just an opinion and not a binding command, then why is there an attorney from the Liberty Institute representing one of the soldiers that was there.

Just because there is not an Army policy that forbids using the word ‘Christmas’ doesn't mean that soldiers are not being forbidden to do so.

As the article clearly represents.

Georgia hospital bans Christmas carols

A group of high school students was told they could sing about Frosty the Snowman but not the Baby Jesus at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Ga.

Students from the Alleluia Community School were banned from singing any religious-themed Christmas carols to patients including “Silent Night,” “Joy to the World” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.”

VA hospital refuses to accept 'Merry Christmas' cards

Boys and girls at Grace Academy in Prosper, Tex., spent most of last Friday making homemade Christmas cards for bedridden veterans at the VA hospital in Dallas.

Fourth-grader Gracie Brown was especially proud of her card, hoping it would “make their day because their family might live far away, and they might not have somebody to celebrate Christmas with.”

“I’d like them to know they’ve not been forgotten and somebody wanted to say thank you,” Gracie told MyFoxDFW.com.

Gracie’s card read, “Merry Christmas. Thank you for your service.” It also included an American flag.

But the bedridden veterans at the VA hospital will never get to see Gracie’s card. Nor will they see the cards made by 51 other students. That’s because the Christmas cards violated VA policy.

How stupid, but what do you expect? It is Texas after all.
