Longtime Super Bowl Advertiser Opts Out WSJ
After 23 years of star-driven, award-winning commercial spots in the annual Super Bowl telecast, a major brand has decided not to advertise its beverages during 2010's Super Bowl XLIV, reports the Wall Street Journal.
Pepsi-Cola plans to market its beverages in a new cause-related campaign instead. Parent PepsiCo's Doritos brand snacks, however, will continue as a Super Bowl advertiser.
The game airs Feb. 7 on CBS.
