Citizen Murdoch

OK, on topic, but a wild shift from the discussion to date.

Lets talk pie throwing. :)

I have a hunch. Totally unfounded and no doubt wrong, but experience and cynicism have taught me to consider alternatives.

  • Murdoch's wife is a bright woman, fully aware of her own history and China's culture.
  • China has subtleties beyond the best imaginations of us in the West.
  • Rupert Murdoch is an old man, with a sharp mind but a frail body.
  • She sees a need to be protective of him and of his person.
  • She realizes that he must appear before Parliament, but wants his appearance to be limited.
  • What better way to limit his appearance than to cause a disruption?
  • Bomb throwing, for instance. But that is pretty drastic.
  • Ah! Hire a pieman!!!
  • She has the motive, she has the money, she has the resources.
  • How hard could it be for her to find someone in the Murdoch Empire who could hire a pieman to disrupt proceedings at the proper moment?
  • I would love to see a tape of her body actions for the 20 minutes prior to the pieing event. Did she give the signal to pie Mr. Murdoch?
  • That would certainly explain her quick response to the pieman, eh?

As I said, I am a cynic on these things.

The US was wiretapping on US soil without warrants/ They were doing it in a big way. They still are, and probably even worse. My hope was that Obama would stop it but I believe he has made it worse.

You just finished saying that the US generally only wiretaps for valid reasons and now you are saying that wiretapping without warrants (invalid) is happening in a big way. Which is it?
