OK, on topic, but a wild shift from the discussion to date.
Lets talk pie throwing.
I have a hunch. Totally unfounded and no doubt wrong, but experience and cynicism have taught me to consider alternatives.
As I said, I am a cynic on these things.

- Murdoch's wife is a bright woman, fully aware of her own history and China's culture.
- China has subtleties beyond the best imaginations of us in the West.
- Rupert Murdoch is an old man, with a sharp mind but a frail body.
- She sees a need to be protective of him and of his person.
- She realizes that he must appear before Parliament, but wants his appearance to be limited.
- What better way to limit his appearance than to cause a disruption?
- Bomb throwing, for instance. But that is pretty drastic.
- Ah! Hire a pieman!!!
- She has the motive, she has the money, she has the resources.
- How hard could it be for her to find someone in the Murdoch Empire who could hire a pieman to disrupt proceedings at the proper moment?
- I would love to see a tape of her body actions for the 20 minutes prior to the pieing event. Did she give the signal to pie Mr. Murdoch?
- That would certainly explain her quick response to the pieman, eh?
As I said, I am a cynic on these things.
