Bill Maher uttered a female vulgarism when referring to former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin on his HBO show Friday night.

Again the Left wing media ignored this. Now what if Bill OReily,Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh make a gender comment on Hillary Clinton? You would have a very differant outcome. Now why dont N.O.W organize a boycott on HBO until they fire Bill Maher.

You have a good point. Maher is both a political commentator at times and a comedian at times. When he made this comment which hat was he wearing? According to HBO the show is an entertainment show and that does make a difference when it comes to accountability.

We can still understand that he is a jerk, that he lies, and that he is inappropriate. But we know that he has not made a claim to be kind, honest, and civil as we would expect from a news program.

Then again the OP understood this completely:

The OP compared Maher to other entertainers and is correct that the media would have been all over this if one of those other entertainers had said it. The OP is really about the double standard in media more than it is about the stupidity of Maher.

He ranks below Jon Stewart on the unfunny scale, but even Stewart is able to emerge from the septic tank now and then. Maher will never do that.

I did not name any of those people. I quoted from the OP.

They are not on Fox news. They are on the fox news channel and they speak on the commentary section not as newscasters. You were the one who rightly made the distinction and now you are the one blurring it.

I actually remember Bill Maher way back when he was "just" a comedian. He was actually very funny. Now he's an egotistical, sexist, homophobic slob. He has transformed into an absolute nut.

I find it hilarious that the left hangs on the words of people like Maher and Stewart and Moore and Rosie O'Donnell and Joy Bahar and the other yackers on "The View" and others of that ilk.

Then the left constantly accuses those with different points of view of being Limbaugh fans or Hannity fans or O'Reilly fans or Fox News lovers.

Maybe if the left would grow up at least a little bit, other people would take them seriously.

At the very least, I wish the left would get some new material. It gets very tiresome and tedious reading the same old garbage about Limbaugh and Fox News and everything is Bush's fault and Obama is a God and the same tired old vitriole and hypocrisy.

I would think that is hyperbole because if not it would be a pretty idiotic statement to compare any newscaster from any channel to any of the popular political comedians. All the media watchdogs that have looked for bias on any of the news networks have found it but the differences between them all is minor compared to what political comedians say.
