CNN Poll: Majority says government a threat to citizens' rights

Fifty-six percent of Americans say the government poses an immediate threat to individual rights and freedoms.

Washington (CNN) – A majority of Americans think the federal government poses a threat to rights of Americans, according to a new national poll.

Fifty-six percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday say they think the federal government's become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. Forty-four percent of those polled disagree.

I saw that poll, it was interesting. But the far left keeps saying why people are unhappy is the government is not doing enough and not doing it fast enough and not going left enough.

This is what we hear so often. People still blame Bush for the economical difficulties of the US, and they still blame capitalist policies. But they can't see that the administration they themselves applauded a year ago is now failing. They're doing everything in their power to hide this and defend themselves with what Pandora mentioned, it's not leftist enough, the policies are working but it's not happening fast enough. The greatest strength is to see your own faults, not look at everyone else. And let me quote John Major the prime minister of the UK from 1990-1997:

In the first place, Democrats lost their "liberal" way with FDR. They are now nothing more then progressives in a similar fashion as that of any socialist, or even fascist, seeking a globalist world system. And the freedoms that the Founders of this country impressed on the people mean nothing to them just as the Constitution, which was intended to protect those freedoms, means nothing to them. The country has always been Conservative, and now you see what happens when the majority of the people are awakened to what progressivism has done to the country.

I think that hypocrisy you smell is your own.

Nazism is a left wing ideology. It like all the other leftist ideologies, puts the state first and strips the people all their rights.

But, the American people are waking up to progressive policies. It does not matter what party it is. The Tea Party distrusts the Rs because they are full of stinking progressives too.

Now, how does one get MORE liberal than a Marxist?

What intolerance of liberties? Isn't it Conservatism that tries to force its moral views on others?

That wasn't the point I was making in my post. The point is that not being able to see todays reality, and always looking into the past to find answers for everything and then at the same time blaming everyone for criticizing todays reality, now that is hypocritical.
