An interesting point on the insurance.  One of the reasons they do not currently sell across state lines is because of the "mandated benefits"  You know, the one's that force insurance companies to pay for sex change operations, birth mark removal, gastric bypass, and other idiotic, elective procedures.

So, if people would stop requesting insurance to pay for every "want and desire" instead of using it for true "health care", it would be less of a problem

If mandated benefits were taken away, then insurance can be sold across state lines and immediately, you would see relief on pricing.

Tort Reform has to be next.  But since the trial attorneys are one of the largest contributors to the dems, that won't happen.
