I believe that most of the voices above  would say the same about universal education, so no, that isn't going to sound so crazy.

 

As for poor black folks, we're getting to the point where a lot of middle class folks of all races can no longer afford health care.  In fact, unless you're either (a) very wealthy, (b) have employer provided insurance,  (c) are over 65, or (d) are very young and can get an affordable policy, you probably don't have access to more than an emergency room patch up and flee the bills system.  There are few who are not in one of those categories who have access to health care.

 

And, of course, we pay a premium price for our system.

 

Americans aren't vile, just misled about this issue.
