Thororium is less radioactive metal than Uranium, and once it is used for energy, the resulting byproducts are far less radioactive and hazardous than those from Uranium and Plutonium. Congress favored Uranium because it liked the possibility of nuclear weapons.II am convinced that advanced technology will give us the energy we need in the future without damaging the planet's environment.
