Yes. Why is it many liberals do not see this? I can only guess many liberals hate Christians and Christianity. This whole separation of Church and State has been pushed way too far, but the left is happy about it. The left fears no group more than Christians - another example of their ignorance.

Our nation now has a large segment of people who are non-believers and as a result, we have corruption, lies, fraud, and deceit. Without a belief in a higher power, most will do whatever is necessary to enrich themselves.

Can you point to a theocracy at any time in history that wasn't corrupt? the Church of England being in bed with the British government is what lead to people coming to the new world looking for freedom. The Spanish Inquistion was an uholy alliance of the Spanish government and the Catholic church. Look at the Catholic church and the centuries of heinous crimes they have commited. Canada has less organized Christianity and they have lower crime rates (especially gun crimes despite the fact that they have the same quantity of guns). Why is it that the NE states have the highest number of liberals and lowest divorce rates while the SE states and the Bible belt have the highest number of Bible-beaters and the highest rates of divorce?

God, guns and guts made America great. Gip has the God, he may have the guns, but does he have the guts? Did the Gip spend as much time in the military SERVING STATESIDE as his Alzheimer hero did SERVING STATESDIE? Or as much as George W. Bush did SERVING STATESIDE?

What I do not like is a anti-Christian movement growing in this country. Secondly, a representative republic like ours can't operate effectively if our leaders are not constrained by morality and ethics. A free nation must have moral and ethical people to work. Otherwise, we will get more scum in power...like Bubba Clinton for example...and more lost liberties.

Mugging old ladies is against the law, but it is easy. To prevent it, we depend not on cops, but a moral and ethical people.

Amen. The more the West abandons Christiantiy, the more it condemns itself. We're well into that fateful process right now. Yet for one to address it in such terms is equivalent to declaring war on society.

The history of the Western Christian Nation. History is just as important to Christianity as its theology, as expressed either in the Bible or in the many works of its chief representatives, over the course of its 2,000-year existence. God has instructed us through history, and from it we must glean, laboriously, every lesson. In fact, only a keen understanding of the history of Western Christian Man will save him.

Have you actually studied the history of Western Civilization? When you do, if you're honest with yourself, you won't be able to deny the major role of Christianity in the building of the world's greatest civilization.

We have always had to fight for Christian Civilization -- always. There will never be a time when Evil stops attacking God's New Chosen People. Thus is life. Thus is life in The City of Man. To build The City of God on Earth, we must fight against Evil. This doesn't mean we'll become animals in the process, however. We will always adhere to the Laws of Land Warfare and Just War Doctrine.

Democracy can be admirable only if it functions within a healthy culture. For example, who in his right mind would admire an efficient democracy among convicts in prison? What made America great was its Enlightenment-based political thought, middle-class economic profile, and its strong, Christian CULTURE. These three characteristics melded into a spectacularly successful nation. But, the future of that nation was always dependent on the continued flourishing of each of these elements. Today our Christian culture is dying, and consequently, so will the rest of America. Democracy, by itself, is simply a model of governance. There are more unsuccessful democracies in the world than successful, because not all CULTURES are of equal quality. Some are scurrilous, and ruin everything with which they come into contact. Let ours not become one such culture.
