US army as a socialist institution?

As you all know America has got a huge wage discrepency!! do you think that the government tries to open the door for the poor and the lazy ones to join the army ? To save them from poverty? is it an act of the conventional knife in the publics back politics?

Going into the army is a job much like any other (except that you give up a lot of freedoms) and each applicant must have a set of skills to be accepted to do the job. If a person is capable of doing the job of being in the army he is probably a productive person and not "poor and lazy" The army does turn away those who do not qualify.

The pay in the military for enlisted folks is poor and the standards higher than you give it credit for being. Nobody goes into the military to make their fortune and its NOT for the lazy no matter how often you watch "Stripes".

i didnt say they go their to make a fortune. i was saying that those who cant survive the capitalist system, turn to socialism, cause there they can get paid, not have the fear of being fired and being stressed out. Dont worry, the army is a huge organisation they will let you do some easy job, and you will get paid equally as almost everyone in your rank (or role)

With superb irony, the army has in the last 30 years been morphed from the leftwing's mortal enemy to its favorite guinea pig. It has become the employer of last resort, when leftwing policies yet again cause a recession. It has "gender-normed" training for women. It has some of the worst racist anti-white male "affirmative action" policies. It has pregnant "soldiers". Now it will have openly gay people in it, destroying its morale and unit cohesiveness. During the clinton era, bubba loaded up the pentagon with feminazis. The leftwingers saw in the military what they wish for in the rest of the country - a non-democratic society that they give commands to, creating a leftwing, statist utopia.
