God gave instructions to people in the Old Testament about dealing with slavery. The New Testament does not even mention slavery. Ancient human civilizations practiced slavery and there is no reason for modern Americans to debate the pros and cons of ancient barbaric practice.

However, Americans could speak out against the modern practice of slavery in communist nations like China and North Korea or Americans could petition their congressmen to stop the human trafficking and slave trade currently being facilitated through our southern borders.
