7 years ago, we could have kept the Taliban from retaking the 80% of teh nation back again. And yes a new strategy would have been needed as well. it was from very early on, when we let Bin Ladin Slip away in tora Bora while he was so close he had him on radio knowing he was there very near us. But for some reason, they did not want to use US troops in real numbers and relied on troops we knew we could not trust...we could have crushed the leadership then and there...we failed horribly due to lack of troops on the ground.And again the stimuls, was not expected to realy kick in into later, as it takes time to kick in. And I think most of the tax cuts where a waste as i don't think they helped stimulate anything, but where there to try to get Republican support....who of course since it was Obama would never support it in any form , even if it was 99% tax cuts
