The Religious Republican Right (RRR). I'm surprised that this group has not been publicly defined or recognized in the heat of our current debate over health care reform and of course, the much larger issue of the nation's first african american president and its effect on our two party system. After all we have the CPAC. Of course, the difference here is that the RRR can boast a proven history of Republican, Religious and Right (and 'Right' in both political logistics as well as self-defined morality).

Of course the RRR has been a mainstay of American politics over the course of our history. It would be fair to say that no other political group is closer to the Founding Fathers. I'm likely to draw criticism at this point by suggesting that this almost literal allegiance to the necessary politics of our nation's origins cannot be applied to 21st century America, as glorious and necessary as they were. Understand there, is no greater respecter of this country than I, and Proud to Be an American is written in my genome (apologies to geneticists, .et al). But the need to balance our love and respect of our past should not overshadow the necessary changes we must make in our country to secure our future. The Religious Republican Right, also know as the Radical Religious Right, was used by the Republican elite during the Gore/Bush election to ride the wave of pseuo-Christianity that seemed to be gripping the country at the time, and try to convince people that the Republicans were more holy than the Democrats. After Bush won the election however, the Republicans abandoned the Religious Right agenda and got back to business as usual - deregulating big business and lowering taxes on the super-rich.

After Obama got elected, the Republican elite decided they should distance themselves from the Religious Right because the religion bit was no longer working. Real Christians saw through the Religious Right ruse, and non-Christians didn't like their militant manner.

So, the Republican elite abandoned the Religious right, except for those willing to wear hats festooned with tea bags and carry signs calling Obama a socialist, communist, Nazi who is taxing them to death. When of course none of this is true and he has actually lowered taxes on working people.

Yeah, I remember back in the 90's when Hillary was speaking of the "vast right wing" conspiracy. Then there was Janet Reno's " Megiddo Report ", similar to Napolitano's anti-Christian report last year. However, the proof was in the pudding, and that "vast right wing" group was proven right just as it is correct today. However, the attacks by the left wing, and their lies, continues to indoctrinate the unlearned, and the foolish.

Could you show where BO has actually lowered taxes on anything, or for anyone?

The tax credit, up to $400 for individuals and up to $800 for married couples, will be doled out through the rest of the year through a payroll tax cut reflected in paychecks. Most workers should see about a $13 per week increase in their take-home pay. But the credit is phased out for higher-income taxpayers. People who do not earn enough money to owe income taxes can file for their share. The IRS released new withholding tables on its website (www.irs.gov).

People will start seeing the tax cuts reflected in payroll checks as soon as next month.

Oh... Napolitano was right. From Roeder to Stack...her comments about right wing terrorism were spot on.

Yeah, she was so right that she had to apologize for the report, and retract it. And Yeah, I know. Iraqui vets, and people who go to church, are all potential terrorists.

And, as far as your "tax cut" ruse goes, obviously you cannot tell the difference between a "credit", and a reduction in rates. Nor do you understand that next year they will have to claim it as income.

BTW, did anyone see the Forbes annual report on wealth that just came out? Seems like the recession under control by the Democrats has created more millionaires, and billionaires. Kind of like what happened under FDR, and the Depression.

People who pay no taxes at all are eligible for "tax credits". How can you have your taxes cut if you don't pay any? Liberals like tax credits because it involves giving away money to people who haven't earned it, with the added bonus of sounding free marketey for some gullible conservatives. Liberals hate actual tax cuts, because most of the taxes in America are paid by those the liberals see as the evil wealthy. In the underdeveloped minds of liberals, the most evil thing Bush did was cut the taxes of the people who actually pay the taxes.
