If ever there was proof of how moronic and idiotic this country is about race it is with those 2 brands.

Companies are always looking to modernize and update their brands and the way they sell them. They could give Uncle Ben or Aunt Jemima a new look. They could change the design or colors on the box and change their ad strategies. In both cases the brands were retired as they existed. One completely and we have been told that showing images of a black person on a box is somehow racist!

Amazing that there was little push back when these companies announced they would do this. It is just assumed that these brands were racist and that was it. The companies themselves admitted they branded those products with racist steerotypes for decades! Why? In reality there was not a damn thing racist about either brand. Quite the opposite. Just more proof how the libtard race ideology is a cancer in this country.

1. Aunt and Uncle. From what planet is that ever disrespectful or racist to call an older person aunt or uncle even though they are not biologically related? Everybody does this including black folks. Perhaps black folks more often.

In the movie "The Joy luck club" the daughters call the best friends of their mom "auntie". This is not and never has been an indication of disrespect in any shape or form. It is the opposite!

2. Images of black people on products. Racist! That's what we have been told. The simple fact there is an illustration of a black face on a box of converted rice or pancake mix is racist now? Nobody would say that an image of LeBron is racist or Michael Jordan but an illustration of an older person represents what negative stereotype? None! So because Uncle Ben can't play B-ball or rap he is not useful enough?

3. Black folks are good cooks. Racist! Most people would agree with that, that black folks are good cooks. So what is wrong with it? Well nothing of course. You have to get real creative with the stupid to say that is racist. A positive thing is bad in today's race ideology. WTF? So what were the professions of Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima? I think of them as cooks or chefs. WTF is wrong with that?

There was a third brand that changed for racial reasons with less fanfare. Cream of wheat. A hot cereal product that is not as popular as it once was. That brand sported a black guy in a chef's hat on the cover for decades. How is an image of a black chef racist?

4. Black folks cannot be happy. The images of these products depicted a happy smiling person. Of course! Only an idiot thinks that blacks need to be constantly angry or miserable.
I know blacks were depicted in an excessively happy way once in film and stage and jazz great Louis Armstrong was criticized for being happy and smiling all the time. These images are not like that. They are simply showing a happy inviting smile.

the concept of aunt jemima originated from the fact that black women slaves were basically the cooks and servers of white masters.
nothing racist there! /s

The racist brands!

Wow some real racist stuff there. A middle aged black woman with a white blouse or chef's jacket.

The brand is owned by Pepsi through it's Quaker oats division. Pepsi mainly bought Quaker oats in 2001 for the Gatorade brand and could have sold off the Aunt Jemima brand to any number of big companies like General foods, General mills or Con Agra if they thought the brand was racially insensitive. But no they proudly sold it for 19 years and are stupid enough to say they themselves are racist for doing so.

Today they sell a pancake mix called "Pearl Valley milling". I will never again be a customer.

No it is not. Slavery was racist and practiced by democrats like you.

Based on your idiot logic ANY image or depiction of ANY black person cooking a meal is racist then?

slavery was by southern conservatives in the south, democrats at the time, now southern conservatives are republicans.

and no, not any image would be racist, but this one is because of its origins. duh

for example, a picture of an executive chef at a high end restaurant who is black would not be racist, because slaves were not executive chefs at high end restaurants. duh

god you're stupid. lol

Origins? A woman who might be a good cook?

You cannot tell what these people are all the images show is a smiling face. It is not racist! a smiling black person is not racist.

How do you know they are not chefs at a high end restaurant? Because you are the racist.

Perhaps our resident libTARD can tell us what in the name Jemima is racist. Calling a woman aunt is racist? Depicting a black person in advertising who does not play a sport or rap is racist?

You voted for 2 people who have ancestors who actually owned slaves! Racist!!!!!!!!!!!

If you weren't a racist, why would it bother you? It doesn't worry the blacks apparently. They get on with life.
You're just being a disruptive pig.

They get on with life? No they do not. They try to find victimhood and racism under every rock so they can hate and blame.

This thread is an example that is why I started it. Oh they have white idiots to help them with this cancerous way of thinking.

People called a simple image of a black woman on a box of pancake mix racist!!! No it is not but a company was willing to pull the brand entirely and basically admit they have been selling a popular product with racist imagery just to be politically correct today. That is pathetic!

Uncle Ben's

A company that makes converted rice has on the box an illustration of a black man who looks like might be 60 years old. There is nothing else to it. That is not racist!
Never can that image be racist! Calling a gentleman uncle is not racist either. So what is the problem?

Uncle Ben's now called "Ben's
original" with no image depicted.

The company is Mars which has long been a private company. We know them by their candy more than anything Snickers, Milky Way and Skittles but Mars is the largest pet food company in the country and they are a large food product company.

Tell me there is not something wrong here. This does not educate anybody. It does not help anybody.

This is racist also. The depiction of a black man smartly dressed as a chef.

Does the implication that black people work or have jobs bother you idiots? So not every black man makes millions as a professional athlete or rapper? Some work? Some cook? On youtube there are dozens, probably hundreds of black guys with cooking channels. Are the perpetuating black stereotypes? Are white people who watch, subscribe and like these videos being racist?

You know nothing about racism. You only think you do.

You never will until you experience it.

I articulated in numerous posts and threads my distain for the race ideology of the so called left.(They are far right)

It is harmful to this nation and it in no way helps the people they claim to care about. Ending the Aunt Jemima brand does not one positive thing for anybody.

As for knowing about racism? You are the whitest person on this forum from one of the whitest countries on earth. You do not know shit Casper. 👻
