Illegal immigration?

Did he have a balanced budget?

Just what did he save us from? Well, aside from a second term for Jimmy Carter that is.

Reread what I wrote. Reagan would have saved us from the disaster BO is creating.

He would have handled the mess W left much differently than the Skinny Socialist has done. The result would have been a booming economy and very low unemployment.

Sort of like he did in fixing the disaster Jimma left and much like his favorite president Calvin Coolidge did after taking over from the disgusting racist progressive DEMOCRAT Woodrow Wilson (after the death of Harding).

He would have saved us from Marxist sh*t and the coming Great Depression II that BO is causing.

he saved Hostages...by giving iran arms...

He saved Taxes...but not paying for spending

Since Reagan had a hand in beginning the troubles; fostering a relationship with China; not securing the border; not eliminating the Dept. of Education which has led to the demise of education in America; etc. I don't see how he would have done anything differently now.

It isn't Marxism you have to fear. It is the growing influence of corporatism.

BTW, Obama is a corporatist.

Both were/are charasmatic leaders. Both were orators. Both advocated tax cuts at the expense of larger deficits. Both took office during a time of economic hardship. Both lost in the approval rating polls, largely due to unemployment. Both campaigned on "change". Both were/are revered by the hard core of their respective bases.

Can you give an example of ONE president in the history of this country whose administration DIDN'T at least try to fool the people? At least the supporters of Reagan during his time LONG AGO, didn't want the government to tell them how to live. Obamanites don't care if they are being fooled as long as they get money for their little special interest groups, and the money comes from someone elses efforts.

Thats right the Right does not want to tell you how to live...outside what you can do in your bedroom...with who....what you can smoke....what Religions should be able to build a house a worship....what a woman can do if she is pregnant and is thinking about abortion for any reason...but at lease if your realy sick and have no health care...they willl stay out...don't want to infring on your right to get sick and die .

As to your other point, why didn't Reagan eliminate the Dept' of Education as he promised he would do, and knew of the dangers it woul dcause for our education system? Why did he not secure the Southern border after giving amnesty to 2.7 illegals? Why did he allow the beginning of the flight of American corporations to other countries? Why did he promote trade with China knowing they had sworn to destroy us? And the list goes on.

The expansion of the federal government into the lives of the people has been going since before FDR, and by every President since. NONE have tried to slow the advance of the intrusion into ones private life. Some, like Obama, want it to move faster. None have tried to stop it.

Exactly. No one has tried to actually tried to slow the growth of the federal government.

I voted for Reagan in '80, thinking that he might cut back the federal bureaucracy. When that didn't happen, I went back to voting third party in '84. How he became a hero to "conservatives" is a mystery to me.

There is no conservative party in Washington, and hasn't been for decades.
