Of COURSE it is.

It is why we have built monuments to honor those who have died in the most murderous wars: The Revolution, the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea.

But there is NO monument for the Mormon War at all. It is also known as the Utah War and Buchanan's Blunder.

No one actually seems to have died in combat in this war, but there were some casualties due to disease and freezing to death.


The Mormons clearly lost total control of Deseret, which was known afterwards as Utah, and they don;t want a monument.

Neither does the military. So there are zero plans for a Mormon War monument.
