You are aware that Canaanites were just one tribe of people who began repopulating the earth after Noah's flood.  Abraham lived in several different locations before he died, but that does not mean that he, or Canaanites, or Perizzites, or Hittites, or Girgashites, or whoever owned each piece of property they settled on by some sort of divine right.
