The Tea Party Supports Big Oil, Big Business, Big Insurance Companies and the Government Elite.
The Tea Party movement is the latest grassroots mobilization of the Republican elite. One of its organizers was former Republican House Majority Leader Richard Armey and it is supported by oil billionaire Republican David Koch, along with other big business and big insurance interests including United Health Group.
Tea Party conventions are coordinated in upscale hotels all over the country from Nashville to Las Vegas. Richard Armey's organization called Freedom Works and David Koch's big oil foundation called Americans For Prosperity provide busses, money, communications, protest signs, speakers and reservation arrangements. Big insurance companies like United Health Group encourage their employees to attend Tea Party events.
Whatever the grassroots Tea Party members think they are doing, they are pawns in a well orchastrated to get Democrats out of office, as well as those Republicans not considered "Republican enough" by the Republican elite.
This will allow big oil, big business, and big insurance to once again to control congress and exploit labor. And the Tea Party members rewards for their efforts will be less job security, less benefits, higher insurance premiums, and exploitation by big business.
