there is a good chance they would fall, and they still may...and yes its to fundamentalist now, but thats in part do to the fact that the current situation in  Saud is that more and more are pushed to Fundamentalism from the start as its a escape or way to deal with the Oppression...had we been harder on them long again, and pushed them for more reform, and backed those who wanted reform like we do in Iran...I think we would find that much less of a issue and we could at least have hopes of a Democracy that also is not anti Western.
