My kids are grown and out of school.  So I was early on in what's been happening currently.  We had a great little community neighborhood.  The primary grades were fine, but I could see things going south in the middle schools.  That's when I yanked mine out and sent them to private, with much sacrafice to the family.  I'm now a big advocate for private/home schooling.
