I am excited by both Romney and especially Ryan. Ryan is great for the obvious reasons. Romney is great when you consider both the Democratic alternative and in context of all of our previous presidential candidates. Everyone has blemishes and he is not our perfect candidate - but hey, Jefferson would not be the perfect candidate either. Has Romney done anything worse than the worst things Jefferson did? Romney is a great candidate in context and therefore is a great candidate worth being excited about. And in a purely pragmatic sense if we are not excited by him then he just might not get enough votes to beaqt Obama and we can all be excited to be living in a country that has forsaken its founding and is slipping ever faster in socialism.
