"I am concerned that NPR and PBS broadcasts could be violating federal law by airing commercials," Chairman Brendan Carr wrote on Wednesday to the presidents and chief executives of NPR and PBS, Katherine Maher and Paula A. Duffy is a former Republican congressman from Wisconsin without experience in transportation. At his confirmation hearing earlier this month, Duffy promised safer Boeing planes, less regulation and help for U.S. self-driving technology companies. He has publicly questioned climate change."
